Volunteering Opportunity for Video Enthusiasts

Mike and I are working on ways of making the knowledge sharing of the group more accessible and usable for more of the community. MWUG have some awesome expertise that could reach and help a much wider audience if we create the channels to do so.

We appreciate that not everyone can get to all or regular Meetups and that even those who do attend would like to review and digest some of the content again and later at their own pace. To that end we would like to video parts of the night and publish them on the web.

We are looking for a volunteer (or a small co-ordinated group) who would like to support the community in creating these video recordings. We would need you to have the appropriate equipment for lighting, recording, editing to then post on the MWUG site.

If this is your area of expertise either professionally or as a hobby, and you think you might be able to support MWUG in this way then please get in touch with either Mike or myself through MWUG, Meetup, or our social media.

We hope you can help us create a really cool resource for all of us.

Many thanks, and hope to see you at our next Meetup – go RSPV so we know to expect you!

Announcing Another Clinic

If you enjoyed the clinic at the last meet up, great! If you participated and benefitted from it, even better. We’ll be doing it again next month.

However, we recognise the limitations of the MWUG clinics in terms of time and expertise on the night. We also know that many of you are experiencing the frustrations of just trying to get your WP and, for many, marketing stuff done.

WP Velocity Live WordPress Clinics

To that end, Saz and I have collaborated to launch our WP Clinics. They are aimed at WordPress users who don’t want to get too ‘under the hood’ but need to resolve barriers to site changes or updates and progress their project. We will help you gain confidence as the owner and captain of your ship for cost management and marketing purposes, and keep your project moving forward.

So we have two invitations for you……

Join us at our first WordPress Clinic Live in Manchester on Saturday April 4th:
Grab all the details and register here. Places are very strictly limited to 12 so don’t delay.

As a thank you for your support on our first ever event we have a very special quick movers offer; a free ticket ticket worth £297 to attend Power to Achieve – Join Saz and a small exclusive group on a weekend of transformational training for entrepreneurs (dates for November are yet to be released). We have 3 tickets to give away to the first 3 people who register for WP Velocity Live. Grab them quickly. When they’re gone, they’re gone!

Volunteer to help us at WordPress Clinic Live: Come and join in the fun!

  • Gain diverse experience of WP problems and solutions
  • Regularly learn from other experienced WP experts

  • Strengthen your presence in the wider WP community outside MWUG
  • Become an active and known WP expert
  • Build relationships with ideal future clients as their businesses grow
