Folks, due to lack of support, I am sorry to say the December’s MWUG online meetup will not now go ahead.

Instead, if you still want your WordPress meetup fix, I’d love you to join either the Portsmouth meetup (they are having a seasonal quiz) — details here https://www.meetup.com/Portsmouth-WordPress-Meetup/events/274950160/ — or the Edinburgh meetup — details here https://www.meetup.com/WordPress-Edinburgh/events/ckqxzrybcqbvb/

May 20th – 18:30 – 20:30

Our plan for MWUG this month is a little different, we would like to host a zoom meeting where members can post WordPress questions in advance that we will answer to the best of our abilities.

During the meeting, we it may be possible to ask further questions, please raise your hand and a moderator will un-mute you so you can ask your question, and of course, you can use the chat functionality to ask or answer any questions as well.

Join Zoom the MWUG Meeting

The meeting information will be shared via meetup.com when your RSVP for the event. Please go to this URL to RSVP:

When you click on the meeting room URL, you will put you in a waiting room so connection maybe delayed slightly.

Please fill out the form below if you would like your question answered at the MeetUp. We look forward to seeing you there!

MWUG meetings cancelled until further notice

In the light of the news over the last few days, I’m taking the difficult decision to cancel MWUG.

At first I was just going to stay away myself — a family member is immunosuppressed and thus highly vulnerable — but then I thought “can I in all honesty ask someone else to run MWUG and take that same risk I’m not willing to?” The answer is, of course, “no”.

So I’m going to cancel it for the foreseeable future. I may try to do an online version if people are interested, but I can’t get that organised for next week. Let me know in the comments if that would be of interest.

Stay safe and healthy.

July 2019 Meeting: Wednesday 17th, 6.30-9pm, Federation House

July’s Manchester WordPress User Group, run by WordPress co-founder Mike Little, takes place at Federation House (http://www.thefederation.coop/find-us.html) on Wednesday, the 17th from 6.30 pm to 9 pm.

Note: this month we are continuing with the successful clinic format to try to help more of you in the ways you’ve asked us.

And once again, we’ll have the beginners’ workshop with Sue Fernandes.

Timings and Agenda:

  • 18:30 — Prompt start –  Talk (TBD) – WordPress news
  • 18:45 — Q&A – for topic covered and/or Mike’s WP update
  • 19:00 — WP clinic – bring your laptop and get the hands-on help you need
  • 20:15 — In Depth Talk – TBD
  • 21:00 — End

Anyone with any experience of WordPress is welcome, whether you’ve only heard about it and want to know more, you’re an experienced WordPress user or developer, or anything in between; you are welcome to our meetings.

If you fancy coming along, please let us know on our Meetup page.

Mike Little (https://mikelittle.org), co-founder of WordPress, runs MWUG so come along to discover how WordPress can benefit you or your organisation, and get specific advice on any WordPress questions you have.

See you at MWUG!

December Meeting cancelled

We are really sorry we’ve had to cancel our December meeting. Unfortunately, MadLab our wonderful venue, are not open on the evening of the 20th. We don’t blame them we all need some time off to rest leading up to the holidays.

We weren’t able to organise another evening in time.

We’ll be back again in January and will announce the details in the new year.
